🎨 Hello!
I'm Evelyn Li, a self-taught UX designer with a Computer Science degree and Psychology minor (graduated May 2024). My journey into UX design began during a sophomore-year internship. I saw how I could combine my technical skills and understanding of human behavior to create more accessible digital experiences. My design philosophy centers on empathy. As the only English speaker in my family, I've navigated countless digital interfaces at a young age, developing a firsthand understanding of accessibility challenges. This experience fuels my passion for creating inclusive designs that serve diverse users, especially those often overlooked by technology. While I don't have a formal HCI background, I've built my UX knowledge through Google's UX Design certification, industry podcasts, and my current UX/UI design internship.
Outside of work, I love hands-on DIY projects like tufting and knitting, solving puzzles, walking my dogs, and exploring new places. These creative pursuits enhance my problem-solving skills and attention to detail. I'm excited to bring this interdisciplinary perspective to my first full-time UX role, where I can create experiences that are both technically sound and genuinely user-friendly.
